Long shot, but I had something similar. Turned out to the the exhaust contacting the skid-plate, only in reverse. (Very close tolerance). May not be a skid plate but may be something mechanical (exhaust hanger, heat-shield etc) somewhere along the exhaust line that makes contact when in reverse...

The FauxRunner truggy is still at the fabricators and I'm chomping at the bit for it's return! I was warned that it would only be worked on 2 days a week though. So far the work is looking really nice.Might be about half done.

Why does he unbolt it for off-roading? Seems like it would be even more useful in 4 low as the axle wrap would be even worse. Does it limit articulation too much? Or increase the chance of grenading your diff too much?

Yes actually I do have it. :D probably not as impressive from my angle and distance as it would have been from the front, but it is a little shocking how quickly you flip down the other side of the hill :)
