By any chance did you make sure your Timing marks were set properly when you put the new Timing belt in?

92-95 are electric... Might be a bad sending unit at the tranny...

What year is your 4Runner? There was a recall on the first batch of electric clusters on the 92's... My 1992 4Runner's cluster was replaced at 32,000km by the dealer back in 1994.
