Anyone know what the whine is? Transmission? Transfer case? Rear diff? Engine? I can't hear mine when it's just idling, only while driving. Another way to describe it is that it sounds like a manual transmission in reverse. I don't think it's a camshaft whine either.

I'm glad to hear that it's not just me. I wanted to see if anyone else had experience with this before going to the dealership. This forum is an amazing tool for information. I hope mine gets better with time too.
