5th Gen thoughts after a little over a year,..

that's the benefit of having a dog in the public, right? haha

My short list: T4R limited, XC90, Outback.

keep asking yourself how much off road you are wanting to do. Subarus are capable vehicles going from road to dirt but nothing heavy duty off road. did look/drive outbacks and the forester. not a bad choice if we didn't have any sense of style. XC60/XC90 - we liked both of them for its style...

    Jangoforhire's Build and Pictures

since you have a blizzard white LTD, there is something extremely cool look about the white runner with TE bumpers.

5th Gen thoughts after a little over a year,..

obviously we're late to this overdone topic but feels good to talk about it anyway. if any other t4r owners are passionate like me, they have a long list of minor complaints. antiquated antenna - cannibalized from the junkyard? design: 1st - 3rd gen went from boxy to nicely smoothed out. 4th...

    2012 ltd questions

2011 LTD with 10k+ and no issues. I don't expect any major issues either or I would roll the dice on a JGC or Land Rover. I'm fairly certain someone is still driving my 3rd gen. Are you sure you want a 3rd row? It's cumbersome to enter/exit and the seats are uncomfortable. If you're a Brady...

I just realized what Toyota is Doing!

Don't become one of those "things were made better back then" people. As another passionate 4runner owner, I empathize. Your complaints appear minor and I think your love for the runner is exacerbating it. I recall I had minor issues with my 3rd gen. Generally speaking, auto manufactures build...

Looks like I am going to the dark side

old thread, but interesting regardless. so did you buy a JGC? my wife almost pulled the trigger to buy a JGC LTD. i have to admit it is the most aesthetically pleasing suv on the market, exterior & interior. but to my surprise, she was actually listening to me despite the new car fever she...

    SR5 or Limited (4x4)

Despite the fact that Toyota put in the resources to justify the costs, it doesn't really feel "limited" to me. Obviously everyone here can distinguish the runner lineup, but your average crossover driver probably couldn't even spot the 20" wheels. Aside from my superficial perspective, you...

    2010 4x4 Limited

Impressive for the wimpiest runner in the lineup. It gives me some comfort knowing that we are going to Vermont this winter. Although I would prefer to swap my oem wheels/wimpy tires for the TRD wheels with A/T tires before we roll. You think I'll have any issues in the snow?
