    Wife is wanting a ladder…

Another C4 owner here. Bought it because it was wider than the gobi, aluminum, and for the slots. If I remember correctly, the max weight is 200lbs. I’m 215 and I didn’t really buy the ladder for myself, mainly for the family. Doesn’t matter how careful I am, it will always pop out of place. My...

    ?s about 5th-gen non-Limited transfer cases ...

:iagree: I loved that feature on my 3rd gen as well. As for the 5th gen when I first started searching I knew I wanted the manual shift model solely for the reason of less things to break, and the rear locker. Unfortunately the models with each come with an abundance of other components to...

Tranny Temp questions for heavy use

I just put my 34's on this past weekend, and monitored my temps up in the hills as it was a concern of mine coming up from a 3rd gen. It never went over 200 degrees but besides the suspension I'm still stock in terms of added weight. You've done just about everything you can to help out with...

Real World MPG with 5th Gen?

I was getting a solid 18mpg city stock. On my last tank stock I took a trip up to Tahoe I logged 19mpg. So that was a good 100+ mile trip thrown into that tank.

Lower Ball Joints and Higher Mileage

Prior to installing a new oem radiator I ran cooling system cleaner and distilled water and flushed every other day until I was satisfied(my cooling system was filthy at 225k when I bought it). That gave me more piece of mind installing the new radiator and not worrying about the milkshake. I...

    Vibration at 70MPH

Ask your parents if they had the drive line lubed. Most of us are greasing every or every other oil change. Might be a good idea to get under there and hit all the zerks with grease either way. Like the last post mentioned, the U joints go out if not lubed and you will feel the rear at freeway...

    Vibration at 70MPH

If your new tires and wheels were balanced I'd look at the drive line. Have you greased your drive shafts at all?

Have You Opened KDSS Shutter Valves While Performing Suspension Work?

I just did my 3" lift this past weekend. I did not touch the valves. You mentioned you're doing a mild lift, I changed out my UCA so it was quite simple. As long as you undo either of the control arms I dont think you will have a problem getting anything short of 3" in. The main KDSS lift thread...

New here: vibration on driver floor

I second the front driveshaft. Did PO mention doing any kind of maintenance where the driveshaft would have to be removed? They could of put it back wrong if you don't visibly see anything wrong with it. I'd lube the drive lines and either way since it's a new to you rig and see if that helps any.

What did you do to/in your 5th Gen today?!

35% all the way around. Windshield is untouched, this is just a good angle.
