With all that towing your going to do I'd go for a V8 just for the hell of it. If you get a bigger/heavier trailier at some time in the future your covered plus the added torque will help when traversing those steep inclines when you have a full load.

When I De-badged my WRX I used a blow drier and dental floss to get the emblem off. Just make sure its nice and hot and slowly work the floss behind the emblem. Then use the above methods to get the glue off.
