    4th gen body lift

i'm running the 1.25" BL with NO radiator drop bracket ... but you could get it just to be safe.

Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

no, it was seriously dangerous and poorly made. i'm much happier now with just the OME and the body lift. much safer too!

Lift and Tire Central (pics)... Post 'em Up!

Yeah, it looked good, but even though we chopped up the front bumper, the fenders, the pinch weld, some frame near the body mount, AND shaved down the stock upper a-arms, it STILL rubbed enough to make regular street driving uncomfortable. It was many years ago, but I think that at the time I...

    Post your mug!

sorry, i don't have any good ones. me and my dad. i know it's not a toyota, but it at least appears to have an OME lift. ;) then there's one right after i got the truck and started on the Revtek lift (back in 2003).

here's mine: very early on, at mineral wells: before the Shrockworks bumper but with 315s: after the Shrockworks bumper, different sliders, different lift, and back to the 275s:

Leveling kit = CV Joint problems?

agreeing with you guys, but i think it's important to emphasize that OME WITH Daystar is not a safe/good combination. go with the OME and body lift. sell the Daystar kit.

Leveling kit = CV Joint problems?

i think 4runner8 was just saying not to worry about the CVs with the leveling kit ... as for paying for the Daystar and it just sitting in a box - why not put it up for sale in the classifieds section? i'm sure someone here would buy it from you!

Leveling kit = CV Joint problems?

i really do not recommend this. i tried *part* of the Daystar kit on top of the OME, with near disastrous consequences. stick with one or the other - don't do both (unless you plan on a lot of other mods to compensate for it ... in which case, i'm still not sure it'd be a good idea).

Leveling kit = CV Joint problems?

Since it's the Daystar kit, you'll get two spacers for each side in the front, and the spacer size is not the same as the lift amount. Also, the 2.5" in front and 2" in rear would look fine ... I've always thought that having the front an entire 1" higher than the rear makes it look "right" ...

    4th gen body lift

this is true. but get a couple friends and you'll knock it out pretty easily (barring any issues trying to get the steering shaft spacer in there).

Leveling kit = CV Joint problems?

You won't have problems from the lift at all. A lot of us have more lift than that and have done just fine. Go for it! :)

Should I paint my TE Wheels black?

my vote is for dark grey as well. i know you said you don't have $$ for powdercoating, but it's not very expensive and it will last / hold up a heck of a lot longer. i had mine powdercoated and they're still in great shape. before that, i had just spray painted them, and it ended up peeling...
