What was confusing was the statement from the service tech that factory oil was NOT synthetic. Explained that somehow the fossil oil was used at first to help during the break-in period. It makes since that it would be synthetic from factory. Thanks!

So I just took my new 4RTrail 16 in for the recommended "Oil Change" at 5K miles. Toyota Service guy tells me 1. no need to change the factory oil until 10K 2. factory oil is not synthetic ... but trust him, it's ok for the first 10k to not have synthetic. Does this sound right to you guys?

I take delivery of my new 2016 4RUNNER trail (with no options as ordered) Wednesday in the same color. Looking forward to dressing it up some. This is a great place for good ideas!
