You could try throwing a 10mm OME trim packer on the drivers side.

Might be worth it to at least clean the MAF sensor, throttle body, and change air filter if you haven’t done so. Couldn’t hurt to have everything downstream of the TPS clean. Glad your getting closer to the problem ��

I agree that it sounds like a TPS issue. If you check the pending codes, I'm willing to bet it's a P0120.

I have read that spacer lifts basically lift double what the spacer size is. Hope it settles a little bit for you!

Well I may have thought of a solution, running a 3/8" spacer like this: 10mm (3/8") Poly Front Lift Enhancer Kit and running the 2nd perch on the 3rd gen 5100s, which should give me about 0.67" lift, which in total should put me right around 22.25", unless I'm mistaken.

I don't want to clog the forum with more lift threads so I'll ask it here. I am thinking of getting OME 890s for the rear and leaving my stock 99 talls in front for now, and getting the 3rd gen 5100s all around. Currently, I am around 21" hub to fender in the front and about 20.5" in the back...

I had the same thing happen when I bought my 4runner. Bought it with "165,000" miles, and a couple weeks later decided to get the Carfax and found out it had service records up to 323,000 miles. I'm somewhere around 360,000 now. I'll never buy the Carfax AFTER I buy a car again. Expensive lesson...

I get this as well. I live at the top of a steep hill and whenever I park and get out there is a strong burning rubber smell. I thought it was coming from a rear axle seal leak but it persisted after I fixed that. It bugs me and I’m Interested in hearing more replies on this.

I love my 3rd gen but if I had more money I’d probably build out a 2nd gen Tacoma.
