Bought my '08 new and lost that rubber thingy the first time I had the oil changed... and that was at the selling dealer (first oil change was free). I now change my own oil and don't miss it a bit.

I used to be able to see the owner's manual on Toyota.com, but no more. It now says, "Sorry, no documents found for your 2008 4Runner." All it shows is warranty information. This is under the Resources pull-down tab/Manuals and Warranty. One is instead directed to the "Ask an Owner" page...
