Thanks 98OzarksRunner, you hit the nail on the head! When the engine was installed the gasket between the exhaust mainfold and the muffler piping was crushed. The air being allowed in was causing the O2 sensor to send a faulty signal resulting in the surging in lower RPM's.

Any imput? Please help a newbie. :sadwave:

Cracked exhaust manifold question? (update on post #4) Are there any other symptoms other than the sound and possible lower mpg's? I just (as mentioned in other threads) installed a "0" mile 2.7 engine and a new clutch in my Gen3. I believe I have an exhaust leak of some sort but was wondering...

Are talking about the thin rubber trim piece at the bottom of the window that serves as a squeege? That part has a little plastic/rubber wings that fit into little rectangular holes on the "B" piller. I used a small flat screwbriver to pry the top wing out then you pull up and they slide out...

It's a very basic install. you will use 4 frame bolts and 2 bolts on the little brackets. I just took mine off. Good luck.

Update; 12/31/11 Today waiting for the New Year to get here I put my time to good use. I did some body work on a few small dents on the bumpers. I sanded all the rock chips out of my front bumper and primered the areas I had sanded. I am still not sure what way to go with the bumpers...
