I’ve noticed mine having this only taking 3/4 of a tank issue the last 2 times I filled up, but only at this particular station (3 different pumps- I went to 2 tonight to see if that helped). I can smell gas and hear gurgling when it gets to 3/4 then it keeps shutting off. I tried pulling it out...

Will these fit a 4th gen?

Purchased day before Thanksgiving. So far: new headlamps, LED low/high bulbs, roof rack, 5th gen wheels/tires, new LCAs coming, changed the air filter, all wipers, and rear differential fluid. Getting the frame welded next week, 2 1” holes in the right side

I got a 2003 SR5 V8 198k, but there are 2 holes in the right side frame probably 1” diameter. I’m gonna fish plate weld it and pray lol.. $5000

So it’s 5 tires for $200.. what’s the tread left on them?

That looks like peanut butter haha I got new wheels and tires from a 5th gen. Now to fix the frame rust... :(

I looked at a 1997 4Runner today, the E brake would not move an inch from down position. I drove it, and the vehicle drove nicely. 264000 miles, no rust under etc. I’m hoping it’s the bell cranks.

This is a REMARKABLE thread. I felt a 2003 4Runner V8 with 100k miles was a risk. After seeing this site and also being able to pull the actual service records, my mind has definitely changed!

Looks clean. OEM is always the best way to mod IMO

260K?!! Wow!! That's impressive. I'm thinking of buying a 2003 4Runner 105k miles and I thought the age and mileage as a deterrent. Carfax says oilnchanges regularly but no differential fluid changes. Tempted now that I see your miles. Your 4Runner looks immaculate.

I would think just 87 but I'm no expert.
