Just “finished” the mods on my ‘21 MGM Nightshade. Most were on the interior, so you can’t see much. I had to keep it simple this time around so my wife wouldn’t need a stepladder to get in and out like my last 4Runner.

I don’t see any reason to upgrade your alternator for long term durability. I haven’t heard anyone pointing to an alternator failure directly related to the ArcLight booster. I set mine to the boost setting (the low setting of the two) and drove it as I always do. 4 years later… all good!

I actually went with the Odyssey 34 with the ArcLight booster since I was only doing long weekend trips, 3-4 days, and didn’t need the extra juice of the 27.

I second the Arclight voltage booster. You can’t beat the couple of settings you have which can help in colder weather. Just throw it on there, set it, and forget it is what I did. And if you do go back to a regular battery you literally just flip it to off.

Never thought of doing this with the power steering fluid. I am guessing this is to keep the power steering fluid continuously being diluted with newer fluid over time? Nice idea!
