Factory Remote start wasn't an option on that 4runner. now one might have been added on to work with the factory key fob. If it is like that then usually you hit lock twice to trigger it.

on a 98 4Runner there is no need to go into the door panel to find lock and unlock. the wires are @ the driver kickpanel.

Wow. That is very nice. I have plans do do a very similar setup except I am going to build an enclosure in that same location and use the factory bolt locations to secure it. I think drilling out holes to use the panel as a speaker grill is pretty clever. Good job all around.

Today, I finished the Interior LED bulb swap, and I also replaced the rear license plate illumination bulbs, and I must admit they do look cool.

I just got it today and I must admit I do like it. It is lighter than I thought it would be but it still feels solid in my hand. I haven't really gone anywhere with it so we shall see how it works tomorrow when I am out and about with it. So far so good. :driving:

I bet you blew the parking light fuse, and I also bet you have a dimmer/illumination wire grounding out. When you hooked up the stereo Im not sure what harnass you used if it was a 70-1761 those harnassas sometimes have an orange, and an orange-black stripe, if either of those wires are hooked...

yeah the tailgate got the 6.5 coaxials, the rear door I think got the 6.5 component woofer since the Type S Components have the crossovers integrated with the wiring we were able to separate the component set and we installed the 6x9's in the front door. I suppose if you want a true component...
