Did you check your anti-freeze level? I had a similar problem on on old Taurus. All the coolant leaked out and wasn't circulating the engine's heat to the hvac system.

Thanks for the responeses guys. What I had in mind was a cheap dashboard type guage, installed in the rear of the truck by that outlet near the storage cubby, spliced into the power outlets wires from behind. Haven't figured the logistics of how to get behind there for the install yet though...
