Worked for me as well. What a relief!

I know it's a 4th gen thread, but this happen to my 98 4runner today. After about 45 mins of trying, wiggling, turning the steering wheel, spraying some pb blaster in it, I gave up and got a ride to Toyota and got a new key made. Got home, new key worked perfectly!

Last owner said the belt was done about 60-80k miles ago. No proof or documents though. I need to tackle this job myself too...done a couple timing belt jobs b4. Not my favorite but kind of curious on how this motor works.

So I thought my lights were out but it was the wiring behind it. Somehow, when I shake the harness, the lights will come on...but after putting everything back together it will still not light up. Anybody else got this issue?

Too bad I got passengers (kids) who needs the running boards to get in and out of the car.

Can someone post a picture of what its suppose to look like?

My car doesn't have the heated seat options. The lumbar controls are towards the bottom of my seat.

So I just bought my 4runner and loving it. But what is this? Its on the side of my driver's seat. It got some kind of wiring to it.

Just bought mines with 230k. First thing I did was take it to Canada going through several blizzards. After a week of owning it, it now has 233k on the odometer and its running like a CHAMP!!!
