This can't be happening...

Let me get this straight. Your wife is trying to trade in YOUR 4Runner for a car/wagon thing SHE likes better? I suppose the concept of "I drive what I want, you drive what you want" is confusing to her? Or perhaps she's been "empowered" over time by conditioning you in situations like this to...

Weight limit of slide out tray?

    1) What complaints? 2) Labor intensive mods? They're optional....and they'd be "labor intensive" on any vehicle. 3) You'd base a decision on a new car, in any way, based on a friggin slide out try?

    Weirdness

My TE has 275/70/17's and I'm getting about the same shitty gas milage you are.

    Opti-Coated The Runner!

I'd like to know as well.

Weight limit of slide out tray?

Not sure on the actual capacity but mine easily holds 3-4k rounds of ammo, and a pile of nasty, icky rifles. For outdoor shooting its actually helpful. Beyond that I never use it and could do just fine without it all together.

Where can I get a Trail hood?

No offense taken, its simply not true however that TE owners gripe about their hoods. One here or there? I guess. In general? Not at all.

    xspx runner

The only thing about the Xspx-x that I would have any interest in are the carbon fiber interior parts. The rest of that video linked above made my head hurt.

    Too hot to handle. Literally

I live in south Florida, and it gets pretty hot here. I also own a 2013 TE.....no issues with the trim getting hot. Buy that sucker!

    Wheels, Tires, Level 2011 Limited

BFG A/T is a decent compromise between on road/off road tread. I went with BFG A/T 275/70/17's, on a Toytec 2.5"/1.5" leveling kit on my 13 TE. The Toytec kit uses a billet aluminum spacer in front, which will never compress like other composite spacers. ~original[/IMG]

Now i understand why 4runners cost more

Yeah, buying American made products is such a stupid idea, isn't it? :der:

    Need help with new tires

Funny you should mention that.....I was just wondering if I could squeeze a 275/70/17 in the spare area. Right now it's the OEM 265/70/17 spare.....but I'd like a matching tire.

275/70/17's with the Toytec 2.5"/1.5" level kit.... (Before) (After)
