My TE has 275/70/17's and I'm getting about the same shitty gas milage you are.

Not sure on the actual capacity but mine easily holds 3-4k rounds of ammo, and a pile of nasty, icky rifles. For outdoor shooting its actually helpful. Beyond that I never use it and could do just fine without it all together.

No offense taken, its simply not true however that TE owners gripe about their hoods. One here or there? I guess. In general? Not at all.

I live in south Florida, and it gets pretty hot here. I also own a 2013 TE.....no issues with the trim getting hot. Buy that sucker!

BFG A/T is a decent compromise between on road/off road tread. I went with BFG A/T 275/70/17's, on a Toytec 2.5"/1.5" leveling kit on my 13 TE. The Toytec kit uses a billet aluminum spacer in front, which will never compress like other composite spacers. [/URL]~original[/IMG]

Funny you should mention that.....I was just wondering if I could squeeze a 275/70/17 in the spare area. Right now it's the OEM 265/70/17 spare.....but I'd like a matching tire.
