Tips on finding a rear locker?

Another vote for ARB. I've had one in the front of a 92 Bronco since 2001. Works every time. My son had one in the front of a 79 Bronco. Dana 44, RCV axles and CV joints. He beat on that truck and the only thing he never had to work on was the ARB. He broke a rear axle at one point, pulled...

Speakers work while in ACC mode, but go out while driving

Bad grounds can cause everything listed here. May not be the only issue but that is where I would start. Anytime I run into an electrical issue that is intermittent I start with the ground wires.

    Lost all of my gears?

Hopefully your front diff swap corrects the issue. I don't recall from your posts that you mentioned putting the transmission in low gear, just locking the center differential. If you still experience issues put the transmission in 2nd or Low gear manually. If it works fine in those gears but...

The most useful upgrades you can think of

Lights (inside and out) and more comfortable front seats. Those the two things I down right hate about my 4Runner.

    2019 Wheels on 2008 4Runner & TPMS

If I were going through the expense of buying new wheels, I would be installing new tires and having them mounted and balanced I would just get all new sensors. Cents on the dollar with all the other costs involved.

    New, Used, or Aftermarket Driveshaft?

I've had better luck replacing many parts with OEM and they last. Most aftermarket parts just don't last anymore. Start with this link. I've purchased quite a few items from this site. 2003-2009 Toyota 4Runner Drive Shaft 37110-3D540 | TRDShop.com I didn't see a year so I just entered a...

Intermittent clicking from driver's side front suspension/wheelwell

Consistent. It sounded like a worn CV. Once I saw the split boot and grease leaking it was replaced since it was brand new.

Intermittent clicking from driver's side front suspension/wheelwell

Recently changed my CV's using the same Carquest axles and the passenger side boot split within a week and was clicking. Returned it and asked the counter guy to cut it open and there was minimal grease. Less than what I would expect even after a boot split. Save your stock Toyota CV's so you...

About to buy a 4Runner but have questions

Might be too late for your questions but this is what I use to test for head gasket issues. https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-75500-Combustion-Leak-Detector/dp/B0007ZDRUI

    Locker... again.

I could be wrong but I don't think you are going to find a limited slip for the front. I searched all the major sites and brands and the only thing I see are ARB and Eaton E locker. Maybe someone else has a source but I can't find it.

Just upgraded tires, do I need new struts/shocks?

I would not if you plan to upgrade other suspension parts. My process is new tires, 500 miles, rotate, 500 miles and then alignment check. Just what I've done on all vehicles all my life. I hate pulling and vibrations on a road / freeway vehicle.

    Locker... again.

Yes the Aussie is one of the lunchbox lockers. Just a specific recommendation over the others. My son has one in the rear of a 79 Bronco with an ARB in front and hammers on it. He loves it. No snow for that truck, just So Cal desert trails. I have a TrueTrac in the rear of the 92 Bronco I...

    Locker... again.

Aussie rear and wait until you can afford the ARB in front. I have a 92 Bronco with an ARB in the front since 2001. It been used (other than testing periodically to ensure function) about 20 times since 2001. Every time the truck was not going to move another inch. Every time after engaging...
