I had the same problem. The engine would idle fine but no power during driving. Plugged fuel filter was the problem. The fuel tank was very rusty inside and would plug up a new filter very quickly. I had to replace the fuel tank and that fixed it! Good luck.

Does anyone know if 17" FJ cruiser wheels with P265/70r17 tires will fit on a 2nd gen. 4x4? I could not find anything on a search that confirmed they will or will not fit. Thanks.

I had the timing slightly advanced and on a hot day I had a lot of pinging. I got code 52. Cleared the code set the timing back to factory and never got code 52 again.

I had the same problem. Plugged fuel filter due to a rusted fuel tank.

Mine was broken inside the boot as well.

I just reconnected the existing wire.

I had the same problem. It was a broken wire in the drivers side door jam harness. Inside of the rubber bellows.

I found the vacuum line that runs across the firewall disconnected. It comes from the cruise control and runs across to the right side of the engine compartment. I can't find where it connects to the vacuum source. I haven't found a vacuum diagram online that shows the cruise control vacuum...

I had the same problem. Low fuel flow due to a dirty fuel filter. Had to replace the gas tank due to rust.
