I've done all those steps and it still didn't work. I'm hoping one day Toyota releases a new update for the radio software that doesn't stink, but I'm not holding my breath.

I would love to be able to install the 2020 head unit. I don't know why it won't work, but my dealer said that it wouldn't be possible.

Checking in again. I've been working on this for weeks and the only way my system stops rebooting is if I disable contact sync. Then I can use the phone for audiobooks, music, phone calls but none of the system features like reading messages, etc.

Phone calls, bluetooth music, and podcasts or audio books - works fine. Better than having it reboot every 60 seconds.

Mine was happening with 13.1 on my 2016 TE. Troubleshooting tracked it down to bluetooth. Remove all phone settings and set it up again with NO CONTACTS OR MESSAGES SYNC. It solved my rebooting.

Not for me. I've downloaded that update and also had the dealer install the latest update, neither worked. Entune hasn't been updated since 2017, could use a new update.

I'm having the same problem with a 5th gen TE. It's the AC fan that doesn't turn on, or sometimes turns off after driving a while. Every time I get it into the shop, it works for them. I just haven't had the timing right for them to see the problem.

How did I not know this? I'm doing this immediately.
