take of your dist cap and see if it turns over with the engine, if not, timing belt, if it does, take of your front timing belt cover and check to see if it jumped time

NO i have a tranny thats fine i just need an engine. let me talk to the g/f and see what she thinks, where are you located?

do you still have the engine? i live in cali and need one.

depends on why your rebuilding it. i rebuilt mine and it wasent bad at all. but i didnt resurface the heads or replace the cams. i just rebuilt the engine, new pistons and rings and bearings and such, it was less than 1000 bucks and two weeks of scares and blood all over:D

ok i found the problem, i have a dead cylinder number 4. the odd thing is i had a dead cylinder and then rebuilt the engine, same cylinder is dead, #4. does this mean the head needs to be resurfaced? i know the piston and rings are good, i just replaced them 10 days ago. do i buy a head or...

OK SO I GUESS THERES NOTHIN that controls the idle when put in gear....

the v-6 ides fine until i put her in gear, automatic, what controls this idle? thanks in advance:D
