Sending of the heads and block to be checked for cracks and cleaned up a bit.

Made lots of progress. Time to start ordering new parts. Few more pics. Pulled the engine. Lots of broken stuff lots of fun. New block ordering new rods and pistons as well 2 or 3 of these were bent.

Much thanks to the forum and all of it's members, tons of useful info. as well as replies to my (probably dumb/noob) questions have all got me this far on the runner. :bigok: I have taken out all that has to come out to pull the engine. And just picked up a 3.0 from a 90 pickup and from reading...

Does anyone have a link or know where I can get my hands on a physical copy to a '88 3vze V6 FSM all of them appear to be for the 22re.

There's no 88 manual that has that engine in it? And thanks for the help by the way (:

Is that the only option though is to find a older manual?

Just got my service manual in the mail, come to find out it's for 22re only and not models of 1988 Sr5 4runner with 3.0. Any ideas as to how I can find a service manual for the 3.0??

Yeah it definitely will be, but I think it will be cheaper than buying the manual itself? I am not sure what is salvageable on it yet, but first on the list is find another engine to start with the engine block is destroyed one of the rods went through it according to the previous owner.

I just acquired a '88 4runner Sr5 everything is clean and new except one problem the engine is trash. I'm going to start the rebuild process to get her back and running. I was curious to know if anyone knew where I could find the Toyota 1988 service manual for the 4runner besides eBay. Thanks :help:
