Absolutely correct on "reserving one from dealer allocation". Two different regional dealers had inbound models and the one I preferred was headed to other dealer. My local dealer called and since it was not already "promised" to a customer for them, they horse traded and it was diverted to me...

AND that's the reason it took me so long to buy a SUV instead of keep using my truck. I carry fuel in my bed with secure cover with no problems. While in Africa, we had to carry inside the Land Cruiser and depending on the quality of the can, it smelled really bad.. "Gas oil" of course.. but still..

Along I-10... so anywhere in La if there are group meets/ I'd love to join up. Other than Kitachie National Forest, not too sure of other places to meander...
