Lol, yes thats how I felt too 3 months later. But I did go on 2 road trips in that time frame.

Had a reputable shop in Salt Lake double check the 4Runner and they found no coolant leak. Only a very minor transfer case leak, nothing to worry about for now. So all is well with the vehicle, even at 332K miles! Definitely enjoying my first Toyota!

I had the local toyota dealer replace the timing belt roughly 4k miles ago. They inspected the water pump and since it was not leaking at the time they did not replace it. Perhaps it has started leaking now.

Thanks V8Man, I'm gonna be taking it to a different shop and getting a second opinion. I see no leaks on the ground coming from the car...

I'm at 332K miles now. Apparently I will be needing to replace the head gaskets (supposedly it's leaking a bit of coolant, though not in the cylinders. I'm still trying to figure out of I really do have a problem with the gaskets, or if it's something else) and the transfer case gasket to a tune...

Thanks for the info. I spoke with a mechanic today who says in some engines the coolant leaks outside the engine and never into the cylinders. Is this the case with this engine? At this point I'm debating trading this car in for something thing else.
