I bought my '95 about 3 weeks ago for $3k and have put about $2k in repairs to get the vehicle I want. It has about 130,000 miles on it. My mechanic said do you want to make it "good enough" or do you plan on owning this for a while? I took a little while to decide but came to the conclusion...
