    FS: 97 4Runner SR5 - Red - $3500 - Glendale Heights, IL

Selling my 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5. Purchased another vehicle and have no need for this one anymore. I have owned the truck for about 3 years. Information about the truck: Mileage: 145968 Red exterior Tan Interior 3.4 L V6 Engine Automatic Transmission 4x4 Power Windows / Sun Roof Tow Hitch...

    4Runner Chop Idea

Yes chopping up a perfectly good truck seems like a waste and everything... My truck has almost 400k on it... Spent a ton of money on maintenance and repairs, made a bumper, added a bunch of stuff, etc.... Basically I have spent a lot of time with this truck and selling it wouldn't be worth...

    4Runner Chop Idea

So I have been researching this for about a month now. I have searched for chopped 4runners and they are not quite what I'm looking for. I have always wanted a 4Runner with no top, caged, and half doors.... Sure I can go out a buy a wrangler and be done with it, but I don't want a wrangler.... I...

    Lowering the truck

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/80436-heated-lowered-coils-99-talls-daystar-2-5-pics.html But please don't heat your springs to lower them... Even OP stated ride is awful Rafal Only lowering springs I found but for a 4wd... Just search around in Google, maybe look into Tacoma...

    My Bumper Build

Rolled it with Herculiner. Once I get the winch rebuilt, I'm probably going to have cut the bumper for clearance... It won't fit completely in there right now with correct angle for the fairlead. Rafal

    My Bumper Build

6 Months later and were're done! Here's how it's' mounted... Front of the bumper has 2 plates (they have welded gussets to the bumper) that sandwich the frame: I made these mounts for the sides. They mount to OEM bumper bracket location and then to plates on the inside of the bumper: Ok...

    My Bumper Build

So I realized that I never made a mounting point for my license plate. Since the fairlead will be in prime plate location, found a few options online... I want to get the bumper mounted tomorrow so my only option was to make one... It will cover the fairlead but 2 bolts can be easily removed...

    Rear Cargo Light Install

Decided I needed some more light in the back, especially since I'm outside and camping more often. Picked up one of these from my supplier at work. Slim LED Light, draws 2 amps: For my wires, I tapped into the power wire for my rear dome light. Cut and soldered into the 12v battery wire...

So.... My Rear Diff. is Leaking

I'm not sure how comfortable I would be with that... Given the old cover is already rusted and it's really a thin piece of metal it would be difficult the weld anything to that. For one its rusted and grinding the area to be welded would thin it out more, and two the metal is already soaked in...
