I think that's my favorite option at this point. I will search the forum, but does anyone know if replacing a liftgate is as straightforward as it seems?

Insurance cut me a check but I put it toward a used Camry because we needed a fuel efficient family car. Long story. Bottom line is I still have the 4Runner and I'm torn about fixing it up myself (pounding out the liftgate from the inside or finding one at a salvage yard) or selling it as is.
