    My '87 OEM Restomod

Great work, makes me want to go find a project, maybe a 1st gen Toyota pickup

    Sun visor retaining clip

You didn't say what color interior you had, so here's both part numbers; look for header 74348 on the left and follow it to the right for the full part number. They run about $8. Armrest & visor. Fits: 2008 Toyota 4Runner SR-5 4000CC 24-VALVE DOHC EFI, AUTOMATIC 5-SPEED | Germain Toyota Parts...

    Fluid Film PSA

It's getting to be that time of year for us rust belt guys. I was picking up a couple of things and the owner of the local trailer service place mentioned that prices for Fluid Film will be going up on 1 Sept; he wasn't sure how much, but guessed an increase of around $8 to $12 per gallon.

    Check this ARB recovery tool

We use the same airbag concept to lift damaged aircraft after an incident, they key is to make sure the load is centered so it doesn't roll off when the bag inflates...great idea for loose surfaces though.

    Body help needed

Unfortunately..... I got to see the inside of the flare when my wife hit the side of the truck pulling into the garage. The flares are attached with screws at the wheel arch and double sided plastic body clips at the quarter panel. The issue I ran into was that the "U" shaped clip standoffs on...

    Front Stabilizer Bar Bushings

Same thing happened to me while doing the front shocks/springs last weekend. Drill the center of the bolt (start with a pilot hole) and retap for a M12x1.5x25 bolt. Takes all of about 10 minutes....minus the initial swearing and trip to the hardware store for a new bolt.

    Front skid plate bolt size?

Rivnuts install kind of like a self expanding drywall or concrete anchor. Drill the hole, slide the rivnut into the hole and expand it with either a rivnut tool or a bolt/nut/washer diy style tool. No backside access required. Once installed, they act like a threaded bolt hole. You can install...

Torque App - working formula for tranny temp

Does anyone have a link to an OBD2 bluetooth adapter that will work with an iPhone? I checked out the link above and it's Andriod only. Amazon has a bunch of choices, but I'd feel more comfortable buying one that has already been proven to work.

    Front skid plate bolt size?

I got lucky, even after grinding out the drill bit I was still able to tap it for a M8

    Front skid plate bolt size?

It's steel...barely. The factory self tapping bolts are known to cross thread, when I dropped my skid plate I tossed the factory bolts, chased each hole with a tap, and used anti-seize on the new hardware. This was after I snapped one of the original bolts and then snapped a cobalt bit while I...

Filler piece for roof rack channel, is it important?

Mine would pop out every time I went through the air dryer at the car wash...the worst part was walking back into the bay to grab them while the next guy was pulling in. I finally broke down and glued them in with 3m weatherstrip adhesive. No more issues.

    Oil Diptick Stuck

I had the same issue on my '06 V6, PB Blaster loosened things up and silicone grease every oil change keeps things free. I chased thetube with a rolled up blue shop towel, there was a bunch of crud/rust that came out. I flushed the tube with some clean oil prior to draining the pan. That was 4...

    Fixed Engine Block Bolt Broken

That looks like a threaded stud, have you tried soaking it with PB Blaster for a day and then spinning it out with a pair of vise grips? The plenum is a cast piece and the studs are usually threaded in after the post casting clean up. BTW, you may want to stuff a couple of rags in that plenum...

How to: 4th gen '05 Remote Start Install

Don't think that the vehicle lift in your garage went unnoticed....you suck...but that's only because I'm jealous.

Changing Differential & Transfer Case Fluids - Pics Included

The drain/fill plug crush washers are designed to deform and seal within a specified torque range, too little pressure and they leak, too much and they can fracture and leak. Too tight and you also risk deforming the threads on your drain plug & diff. Can you get away without a torque wrench...
