    Official T4R "Firearms" thread

My "holy grail". Been wantin' one since I was in my 20s. CMP, receiver'42, bolt '43, trigger group '44, new stock and barrel. Great shooter.

    Official T4R "Firearms" thread

Sorry, haven't been here in a while. Yes! After it bounced around on a UPS truck for a few days, it was finally returned to Gunprime. They called me as soon as they got it and said they could over night it to another FFl. That guy called me when he got it late in the afternoon. I was able to get...

    Official T4R "Firearms" thread

Well it's happened. Oregon has gone comifornia. We are now comigon due to the passage of measure 114. My rifle is in UPS limbo because my FFL won't accept any new transfers. It seems that, at last check Tuesday, there are 22,800+ requests for background checks.

    Tire Question

Generally speaking, a 265 will be fine on a 7"-8.5" wide rim. Usually a tire manufacturer will list a suggested rim width. That said, where are you finding a 265/75-17 tire? The Yokohama site doesn't list that size for a 17" rim. I had 265/70-17 KOs on 8.5x17 Stealth 6s. That said ... again...

    Magnuson Supercharged 5th Gen V6 vs. 4th Gen V8

I've had 2 Gen 4 V8s. The performance of my '13 Gen 5 was, at best, dismal compared compared to the V8's. My Magnuson SCed '19 Gen 5 would rival the V8's performance. Unfortunately, I have nothing to back that up. I would like to think that I am at least now equal to a Gen 4 V8's performance...

    Suggestions for Icy roads?

Just an icy road driving tip. If you start to slide, kick it into neutral, get off the brakes and reapply them slowly. Once the tires are locked up the truck, more than likely, will go into a lower gear thus keeping them locked up. 'Runners are easy to hit neutral, all you have to do is push the...

2018 ORP - Really not much ground clearance?

Lose the boards. Doesn't look like yer worried 'bout rock chips anyways. They make great shelves in the garage, too. LOL!

2018 ORP - Really not much ground clearance?

IMHO, A lift will get you room for taller tires, thus more clearance under the rear dif. That's gonna be your lowest clearance. That said, a lift will help clear the running boards. The boards will protect yer rear flairs from gravel. Bad side is, they get the back of yer pants dirty. LOL!

    Let’s see those Nightshades!

Thanks for the input. That said, I was able to post a pic using the attachment feature (paper clip) on another thread on this forum just yesterday. That's the way I've always don it. Actually quite simple for us old farts. LOL! Maybe the OP has something locked up somehow?

Pardon my ignorance - the 3 small rectangle amber lights in some grills...

Fun fact. First gen Raptors are just a fraction of an inch narrower that an H1 Hummer, without the mirrors, and actually have a 2" wider track. The cab is standard F150. The width comes from the fenders, bed sides and flairs.

    Let’s see those Nightshades!

Usin' a PC and have never had problems before. But apparently now I am.

    Let’s see those Nightshades!

Nothin' special. 265/60 20 KO2s, front level and Magnuson SC. It does get dirty. LOL!

For those of you that have dogs!

I lost my Yellow 5 years ago. I now have 2 re-homed Blacks. I will always remember my Angle.

    Problem with brake light.

UUUH! This sounds like a safety issue. "Known problem?" How long ago was this problem known? Why was there not even service bulletin or a recall? Just for shits and giggles, I got a recall on my '71 Corolla 1600 for a problem with the automatic choke, which by the way, took a shit, I was...
