I was running a 5 channel amp fronts, rears and sub all powered from one amp.

It results in around 3/4 - 1 inch lift in the front. Levels the truck out.

I have a Toytec Top Plate spacer kit for 03-09 4Runners and Tacomas. Ran it on the truck for around 30,000 miles before replacing with Bilstein 5100s

Sure! Replaced the original sub a few years back. I strapped the box to the cargo area floor tie-down and rear seat back latch with bungees. That way it's easy to remove

Others have tapped the Transfer case actuator with a hammer while it is attempting to engage/disengage with some success. I'm thinking you're probably right...its an actuator problem.

If you feel like pulling back some pieces of the dash, you could check to see if the wiring harness is firmly connected to the switch. I think the system defaults to 4Hi when the switch is unplugged.

Yup, they work great! I had the same situation and replaced mine with Clazzios. 100% satisfied! The stock medium gray color matches the interior perfectly.
