O2SE - Ok. It doesn't feel like it's going to die or anything that significant but I would say that it goes from being a smooth idle in neutral to what I would call a slightly rough idle when stopped at an intersection.

I think that all makes sense Alabama. So are you saying that what I'm seeing is normal (2000 RPM at start-up, quickly dropping down to around 750-700, and then 500 when at a light)?

To keep chiming in on my own thread for those of you who are following along, if any... After a bit more research it sounds like bad engine and transmission mounts can also cause the behavior I'm seeing. :fishing:

I've been wondering about these springs as well for my 3rd gen. I've read a few posts on here. It sounds like people on this forum aren't generally fans but I haven't seen any specifics or first hand accounts.

Only downside... It's a 2 wheel drive! As much as I like the look of the lifted 4x4s I'm seeing on here, I don't think it makes sense with this rig. Maybe there are still some things I can do with it.

Don't worry. Radiator fluid for your 4Runner is red. It should be somewhat clear and watery. Strawberry milkshake looks... well like a strawberry milkshake. Pink and frothy.

Thanks guys! I thought the filling process was a bit tricky to get all of the air out and the fluid level to the top. I'll give it a go and let folks know how it went.
