Definitely looks to be the override switch for your remote start system. Flip the switch and try the remote start it probably won't work. Just make sure to flip it back then!
It's "cool" and seems to work well once you set it up. I think most would still just prefer a more traditional switch but if you are wiring a lot of things up it definitely is a much cleaner alternative to switches everywhere. And like you said the radio compatibility is limited.
Kind of tough to say with what we can see from the pic. Definitely not an OEM ground but could've been for anything from an aftermarket alarm to a handsfree phone kit. Whats inside that cut black wire? Almost looks like a coax cable but tough to say.
If you disconnect the speed wire does it act any different? Where is the nav antenna?

If you press the switch and the relay clicks on (and stays on) it should be pretty easy to figure out could only be a few things:
- Bad bulbs - have you replaced one or both?
- Bad ground to both bulbs
- Supply fuse to relay blown (I think you said you checked this.)
- Could also be a bad...
Well you've piqued our interest... Let me see if we can't come up with something to offer. Would you guys prefer a loaded enclosure or a BYOS (bring your own sub) enclosure?
The important things to know would be does the RAV have steering wheel controls for the audio system now? Also do you know if it has the JBL system or just the base audio? Id recommend any of the newer Pioneer stuff they are cheap and the Bluetooth works great. A single din (smaller radio size)...
Those are both nice units either one is a good choice but out of the 2 I would prefer the Compustar over the Viper. Feature wise they are really pretty similar aside from the Viper having more range. I think that Compustar remote would hold up better than the Viper. Keep in mind the Viper LCD...
