Low pitch rotational hum that varies with speed

97 4Runner 3.4 Limited, Mis-Firing
I had a misfire in my 98 4Runner, a bad one. Replaced the single electrode plugs (that should NOT have been in there in the first place) with NGK dual electrode plugs. Runs like a banshee now and raised the MPG from 14(ugh) up to 18+ now. Well worth the $30. I have already made that money back...- acfyffe

Stock rear springs on a 98 SR5 ?
I have a 98 4Runner Limited....came "stock" with 16" rims. From reading the previous replies, I have to agree with the wheel swap at the "dock". As far as I know, the 98 came with 2 wheel options, 15" and 16". You were definately in the right by ordering the 16" springs. I found out a few months...- acfyffe

1998 4Runner shocks. I decided to go with the Monroe Sensa-Tracs and I must say that I am completely satisfied with them. The back end no longer "hops" when I take a sweeper on exchange ramps on the highway. The back literally sticks now. No more white knuckle off-ramps! I drove about 80 miles...- acfyffe

I am at a crossroads here with my 98 4Runner. It's new shock time and I can't decide between Gabriel Ultras or Monroe Sensa-Tracs. I'm not looking at Ranchos or anything else on the "higher end".
