In my instance it was a rat that chewed up the wiring near the connector to the knock sensor. What i did was disconnect the knock sensor, solder the two wires back, and reconnect everything. It did take some time though because i only took the intake manifold off and not the metal coolant lines...

my first one was a simple one, adding more USBs so it can charge more devices on road trips lol
