The original Panasonic battery from my 1998 4Runner finally exhausted after 8.5 years! My brother in law also had the same truck and the original battery lasted over 7 years.

With a 1998 SR5 4x4 with 125K miles, I get 22/23 highway and 17/18 city. Mileage has been consistent since first day. Keep tires properly inflated.

At the time of this picture, the 4Runner had Bridgestone Dueler AT tires. Currently have Michelin tires which have a much better ride.

Here is a picture of my 1998 4Runner SR5. We take yearly treks to northern Maine and "drive" to an island. The truck has 125K miles and has been extremely reliable. Just replaced the original battery after 8.5 years.
