We've got some Italian machinery at work where BPP is used frequently. I've gotten a number of swivel fittings from our local Parker store.

Harbor Freight has timing lights for a very affordable price. Does your local Autozone have them in their loaner program? Advancing the timing a few degrees may increase the idle to a pleasant level.

My son has a 1993 3.0 with auto trans with about 140K miles for sale. It's listed in the classifieds. He did a 1UZFE swap. Ran nicely before he took it out, just not enough testosterone for a kid.

find Bad Vision on this forum and his Jetta Diesel swap. He also has about 12 youtube videos of the project. My son is almost done with a 1UZFE swap and it goes quite nicely and not too expensive if you do your own work. Just takes a bit of time to do any project like this.

Basic physics. When the cap is off, air can enter through that big hole. when the cap is on, air can only enter through the smaller hole where you have the leak. The leaking coolant has to be displaced by air.

I'm guessing you broke or stripped the axle right by the splined section where it connects to the diff. You really are going to have to dig into it. Start at the easy to inspect parts. If you can get a look into the diff, maybe through a drain hole, and see if things are turning or where they...

Did you look inside the diff to see what was going on in there?

You can get generic gasket material at most NAPA stores and make your own pretty easily.

I'd suggest taking a good look at the timing belt to be sure it's running true. If something is out of alignment on the idlers it will push the belt forward or back and it will start eating itself up. BTDT.

Try taking your jumper cables and create an enhanced ground from the engine block to one of the ground straps. Nothing gets connected to the Battery Plus terminal.

He sent the ECU out for a rebuild to a place that specializes in Lexus. Hopefully they use the correct capacitors. He does have a back up ECU that probably has leaking capacitors as well that could be rebuilt.

Has anyone experienced the effect of leaky capacitors on their ECU? My son's motor swap ran great for the first 200 miles and has been hesitating and stuttering and backfiring especially when you stomp on it. 1993 stick 1UZFE swap.

What happens if you leave the truck off, put it in 5th gear and push it a foot or two and then try to start it?
