No headliner removal
After some more research I think the offending part can be removed without headliner removal. Another link in this thread gives a play by play but I'm stuck at step one
I see the scew on the back side when the sunroof is vented but the cover on the sides seems difficult...

Just bought my 4Runner and it has this same rust issue. Does anybody have any resolution? I'm taking it to Toyota today for an inspection and to get thier thoughts on the sunroof. I'm sure they'll say 2000$, replace it.
