    Push to start/steering wheel lock

So when I do this I am going to add a 7 pin under the front airdam. This will be used to tie into the 4runner lights. Following this guys tutorial. Toad/Dinghy Wiring - RV Headlights So I will make sure I run a line from the 7 pin hot to the battery to help keep it charged but with everything...

    Push to start/steering wheel lock

did a quick search and there is a thread in the 5th gen forum about keeping the ACC on indefinitely. Is there any way to make accessory stay on longer? Folks are saying if you kill the rig in neutral then push the button without foot on brake it will keep the acc on indefinitely. So this...

    Push to start/steering wheel lock

After 30 mins he checked, times out, steering wheel locked. Now off to how to over ride the ACC when I do this. I am already planning on a switch to to kill power to the ADD so I could add another relay that could keep ACC power on using the same switch. I was going to see if AOB would make...

    Push to start/steering wheel lock

4800 lbs is a tad heavy for a toad but not crazy. the new Class C E450 has some legit towing capacity and gcvw. they put a 7000 lb hitch on there. I really could care less what the bean counters at toyota put in their manual. It can be done no issue. I ran my 7.3 excursion and F350 on waste...

    Push to start/steering wheel lock

thanks melt down. Ok yeah I am tracking so its in ACC mode. my wife's mB has push to start and yeah can turn on radio with the button pushed without foot on brake. I am going to for sure install a switch to turn off the ADD so it does not engage both front wheels as I go through 4hi to get to...

    Push to start/steering wheel lock

i have no desire to disconnect drive shafts or dolly. Transfer case in neutral and put it in park is the plan. Just got to figure out the push to start thing if I end up getting a newer model. could put in the ADD disconnect switch easily and just leave in accessory if thats what I need to do.

    Push to start/steering wheel lock

ok thanks captain. Only one other caveat is the ADD system which wants to engage with the ignition/acc on. Thats why folks turn the vehicle off then switch the transfer case to neutral. I have read folks have just put in an inline switch to disconnect the ADD for this purpose so it doesnt...

    Push to start/steering wheel lock

From a person who has done this... the Toyota manual shift transfer case does indeed have an oil pump that is driven from the input shaft only. This pump, pumps oil thru the input shaft gear group, and the bearing between the input and rear output shafts. However, when the transfer case is in...

    Push to start/steering wheel lock

Any partime 4wd with the manual transfer case can be towed. Toyota says it cant but they dont want the liability. believe me its fine I have seen lots of folks on line doing it on the rv forums and one of them a 30 year engineer with toyota.

    Push to start/steering wheel lock

Hi all, I am new to the 4runner. Getting a 5th gen to tow behind my motorhome. Getting a manual transfer case version. All the folks I have seen on the RV forums mention that you need to leave the key in to keep the steering wheel unlocked. Those threads are over a year old so i cant reply...
