Made it a little better?.... My $1K 98' 2WD 4-cyl, 5-spd. Been running it as my daily driver for a few years. Took the plastic and running boards off, dropped the hitch. Treated it to some Armor-All. Pulled the clock for "the fix". Before: About 1 hour later: Feels lighter already...
