Solved, found that I left the sunroof window in the open position, that was the chime problem

Recently my 2010 4Runner has started making a single chime when I open the driver side door? Key has not even been inserted yet, but I get the chime. same thing happens after I stop the truck and turn ignition off , then open the driver side door? Any help??

I thought there was a company that makes spin on oil filter adaptors for the 5th gen. I cant find one anywhere on the internet. What a chore to change, getting tired of it. I may just make one myself.

I dont know about that !! The Optima has a terrible reputation. The Red Top has never lasted more than 4 years for me. I switched to a Die Hard Platinum for my Corvette. I'll stick to the lead acid wet battery for the 4 runner when I need a change

I am about ready to buy a new set of Michelin tires for my 2010 4runner. I will get about 55000 miles out of the BF Goodrich's that came on the truck. I seldom if ever take the truck off road so I want the longest lasting Michelin I can buy. Does anyone know which design gets the best mileage...

Thanks for all the replies. I ended up getting one off the Mac Tools truck. I liked it because it has the notches to grip the housing in several additional areas. $30. but at least I got it done today instead of waiting 2 days for shipping. Great quality.

I agree with the last two posters. You do not need to raise the truck at all. I took off the plastic cowling by removing the plastic clips. Then the skid plate comes completely off. Plenty of room then. The oil filter is rather mickey mouse, but readily available from Toyata for about $5.00...
