If you have at least 17" wheels you can replace the brake calipers, rotors, and pads with some from a 2006 toyota tundra, its a directly bolt on application. You just need some pre-loaded calipers, and install them. You dont need a new master cylinder or anything else, and those brakes will not...

No I have not, are they hard and/or expensive to replace? And if I dont fix that, wouldnt it get worse with time? If this is the case, am I hurting anything by not fixing it?

I have a 1997 4Runner SR5 2wd. It shudders quickly then becomes smooth when I accelerate from a stop, especially when I am towing. It does not shudder at any speed greater than 5mph. It dosent do it all the time, only sometimes. It has been going on for about a 1-2 years, I really dont notice...
