I just saw your thread on the 4gen section. I like the large bar. Seems sturdier and provides more protection from light bumps without going out to get a full bumper.

Maybe something like oil or grease. I noticed that sunscreen can be pretty corrosive to rubber and some plastics too.

Ahh... I see. The battery is narrower than the original. Didn't notice the first time I looked at the picture.

You could use a piece of plywood under the battery as a spacer or drop a larger nut into battery hold down rods as a spacer before you thread in and tighten nuts.

I installed lights by just popping out the lower grill and drilled holes with a small handheld drill and tapped the aluminum bumper. I didn't remove the bumper. sorry about the bad picture
