Update on this: I ended up going to the Yotaman shop in santa rosa. They let me try out some knock sensors, didn't change anything. So then i tried swapping out and ecu and that totally fixed my problem.

That seems to be what I am leaning towards as well. I think it may have to do with the shielding for the wire, as it seems like the wire is good. But i just dont seem to see this shielding at all which is strange? Maybe i need to cut through the harness? Just don't see a shield at all

is this for the 3.0? Cause i don't think the knock sensor will work, but im sure i could get the wiring to work though. Its strange though because my sensor wire doesnt look grounded at all! its not a thick cable or anything, just a regular wire from what it looks like.

Dude that would be sweet! Do you know what year the knock sensor is from? Correct me if i'm wrong, but i heard you need the same knock sensor year as your ecu? But that would definitely be worth it to test, as It's impossible to find a 22re at a pick n pull. I live in North bay area, in petaluma
