MEK When did they stop making MEK ? I got some at Home Depot a couple of years ago. You would not want to take the chance of getting this stuff on the rear plastic panels anyway.

If you are talking about AC smell and not regular heat it helps if you shut off the AC a minute or two before you shut down the engine.

Can't help with the panels but have you tried silicone spray in the window channels ?

2001 Stock steel 15 in. spoked rims on my 2001 SR5. All 2001's are/were 6 cyl automatic. The brakes are excellent and I'm convinced I will not have the warping rotor problem as with the 16in wheels/hubs. :D

O2 sensors Bad O2 sensors can throw CEL's, and cause poor milage and cause rough idle. They can be tested with a meter but when in doubt buy a new one..........and get a direct fit for your truck not a universal type.

huh ? 3rd Gen here 2001 has 3 coils on the passenger side. I would not worry about the wires until about 80k miles and I would buy stock wires = exact fit.

So I re-checked the gap on the Denso K16TR11 and NGK BKR5EKB-11 original / factory plugs that I pulled with aprox. 35k miles. Even worn they are gapped at about - .037 or less. I wish I had checked the gap on the new ones out of the box before I set the gap. .043 to .037 still seems like...
