What film is that? Most window film rejects 99% UV.. That's not new. The reason darker film works better at rejecting heat is primarily due to less light getting into the cabin. Ceramic films offer more heat rejection at lighter shades because of IR rejection. UV protection primarily helps...

If money were no object, I would consider the following wax: Swissvax Divine I know I can't afford to be spending that kind of money on wax though.. But the two waxes you mentioned above are excellent products! I'm thinking about trying them next when I'm out of Pinnacle Signature Series II...

Meguiar's is good stuff, and I'm a fan of their stuff. I use their Ultimate Quick Detailer all the time. It's one of the best OTC products, but is not "the best by far".. ;) There really is no one brand that is the best for every car.

I could get a window clean (film + adhesive) with no special degreaser or "speedy white" in 5 minutes or less. This would be for your average tinted window that hasn't bubbled up or turned purple. If the film is too old and is in bad shape, it tends to flake off the window during removal...

That's actually incorrect. Type of film and percentage will vary the price. It depends on the shop, but typically an illegal tint job will cost more. So, if your state's laws allow you to have 30% all around, then the pricing can vary if you have a legal tint job or not. As an example, 30%...
