Going to grab me a multimeter and check. Only mod I've done with this truck is the VSC mod that everyone else on this site does. I have been driving around with it engaged for the past few days. Could that have caused all this?

I removed the battery line to the starter and connected a good battery. It's still shorting/cable heating up. This means it's the alternator that could be bad instead right?

Resurrecting this thread from the dead because I can't seem to find any DIYs for Sealed Tranny V6's. Does anyone know if there is such a thing floating around yet? I'd like to get my tranny fluid changed out for the first time after 76K on the motor now. Help a brotha out guys. Thanks! Nick

Bought my rig brand new back in Feb 2006. 2006 4x4 Sport V6. It had 5 miles on the ODO. Now it has 71000. Where the hell have I been driving this thing? haha I do Mobile 1 Synthetic 5w40 @ 5000 or whenever the MAINT light comes on. Been using Bosch filters since I ran out of OEM filters...
