Please check the 12volt.com for a complete wire colors. It is easy to install as LONG as you know where to look. Behind the junction box is one location you will need to remove to get to.

When our 3rd gen gets up in age/miles and you get the vibration of death. The OEM DS has a rubber gasket in the top half that goes brittle. It is not serviceable nor can you try to balance it. It is a wrap. REPLACE.

Did you have a chance to check the DOME fuse under the hood? It controls dome light + radio. It should be 15 amps. Give that a shot.
