BFG KO2s on mine have been great so far, about 5000 miles on them. Friend of mine has Michelin defenders on his that he's very happy with if you want a more stock look.

I 'fixed' this with two zip ties looped around each other, survived a very cold winter so far easy to redo if it fails lol.

I had the same problem the other day, came out of nowhere while I was on the interstate. Cleared the code and kept driving, it hasnt come back since (have left it overnight twice now, temps below 30F) Research tells me it's either an ECU glitch (heard it called the 'cold weather glitch'...

Subscribed, I'd love to know how this works out. Mines working fine as of now but I just don't like the two-tone look lol.

That looks sweet. Did you have the JBL system? And if so, were you able to retain the factory amp/sub?
