I had the same problem before and it is most likely the lever on the back of your drum for the ebrake. If u go under the truck from behind you can see it and if it isnt pivoted against the drum than that is your problem. You can take it off by hitting it with a hammer. If you lube it up a work...
I had a flowmaster on my 4runner earlier but it simply got too loud. I now have a mangaflow with a resonator on before the muffler. If I were to do a dual exhaust i would do two 2" pipes all the way back with dual fairly small magnaflows (or even flowmasters). This will greatly increase the flow.
Yes that might be part of the problem. I installed a k&n filter with the deckplate mod and about a month later my check engine light came on. The maf was dirty. You can remove the maf (just 2 screw holes) and spray the small sensor that looks like a needle with brake cleaner and spray/blow it...
does it still produce full power? If it doesnt it is most likely youre maf sensor. It could also be a bad oxygen sensor. Is your check engine light on?
My fogs went out a few months ago and it turns out that it was simply one of the bulbs out. My housings were too corroded and rusted to replace the bulbs so i bought an aftermarket set and made a bracket to fit them. I would consider replacing the bulbs with maybe some piaa bulbs instead of...
I bought a set of H4 8000k Xtreme HID headlights from Xenondepot about a month ago and I am now running into a problem.
My passenger side headlight will only ignite sometimes. The ground seems fine and the drls are unplugged. I think my battery might be on its way out and have heard this might...
I had a flowmaster 40 it sounded great for close to a year although there was a drone between 2000 and 3000 rpms. The exhaust did sound deep like a v8 at very low rpms especially start up. After a year the muffler tends to open up and it sounds like a beater without a muffler on at all. I...
Wow that is incredible. But i do have to wonder if the fuel delivery system has to be upgraded like the supercharger because they are both doing relatively the same thing. And i also wonder if the stock cpu can handle a turbo set up. If it was just a simple install I might just have to get one.
Ya i have looked around and I may retrofit some projectors later on if i buy an old set of headlight housings. But do the 4Runner's specifically blind people? From what I have seen in person it really depends on the vehicle.
I am thinking about ordering a set of 8000k HID headlights for my 99 4runner off xenon depot. Does anyone have experience with these headlights? and does anyone have experience with HIDs in stock headlight housing and are they actually as blinding as people say...
My fog lights are out on my 4runner and I have determined that it is either the entire assembly or the bulbs are burnt out. I am not sure but it seems like the light is an entire assembly and replacing the bulb is not an option is there any ways to tell if it is in fact the bulb and can I get a...
Well so the fog lights are out for good now. I checked and blew out the connections checked the fuses and relays they all seem fine. I'm at college and i don't have a multimeter with me. Any other ideas of what might be causing these problems?
