3rd Gen subwoofer located under front seat

I don't know about the current product quality that Boss produces today but Boss is not a off brand in the audio industry. Back in the day, between 1995 and 2000, Boss held the world record for DB drag racing and held the world record for loudest vehicle. I don't remember the exact db levels...

    Wimpy Horn!

I replaced my Toyota horns with ones from a new model F-150. They are a lot louder and basically bolted into the stock locations.

96-98 Cupholder after Center Console Swap

No not really. Non of my ideas fold down like the stock cup holder and beyond the voltmeter and usb adapter they do not replace it they are simple inserts that make the open holder adaptable to different devices. The only one I still have is a cup holder adapter for my Baofeng UV-5R radio and...

    Bad battery or alternator?

I didn't read all the post because most of the time people are always giving bad advice. So my version of the bad advice is to crank said vehicle and unplug the battery. If the volt meter is still reading anything below 13 volts its a bad alternator. If the car dies when you unplug the...

    Rear wiper ineffective?

Because I like to watch the world burn! When i rebuilt my 4Runner i cut the factory arm in half and welded a aftermarket arm to it. This allowed me to do two things. First, it allows me to run a standard 14" wiper blade that I can pick up at any parts store because it uses the standard...

96-98 Cupholder after Center Console Swap

I tried a few things with my 3d printer. My first choice was to mount USB plugs to provide power for all of my needs. Decided I didn't like the wires hanging across the dash and what not so that got trashed. Then I tried mounting volt meters for the dual battery setup in the slot but decided...

Power for light bar & heated seats

Generally when I need to pull power for a high amp draw device, such as the power seat and light bar, I run a switch to a relay that runs the device. I don't like running high amp devices off of a switch unless you use the switch to break a ground instead of the power line.

    What tools do you carry?

I have done a lot of wheeling in my time, in fact I grew up wheeling vehicles in one from or another and have never carried most of the stuff everyone list on here as part of my regular setup. Number one, my main tool is to always carry another vehicle. I never wheel by myself because that can...

    4.88 Gears

I agree for the most part, 4.56 or bigger is over kill for a stock size tire. I also don't think 4.30 is ok with 35's. Well maybe not comfortably, that's not to say it can't and probably is being done but I would step up at least one gear set for anything 35's or bigger. I have 4.30's in...

    Bushings

I did this to mine when I put the lift on. I ended up rebuilding the suspension all the way around. From using both factory and aftermarket bushings my opinion would be this. For lower control arm, lower ball joint, upper ball joint, upper control arm, I would use factory bushings. The rest...

    Toyota parts made in China?

I hate to tell you but you will quickly notice the difference. If you ordered a FX lens, you will be able to tell the difference quickly. Its part of the reason I switched to Sony. I know there stuff is probably still made in China but at least I don't feel like I am being taken by paying the...

Is an electric fan worth doing?

I was just about to make the opposite argument for deep water crossing. Back when I had my crawler we used electric fans because it allowed us to add a in line switch that let us turn the fan off before entering into deep water so we wouldn't have to worry about blades breaking or one of them...

I would enjoy this a lot. I am just north of Birmingham so count me in on an Alabama ride or group.

    Napa rebuilt CVs - $45?

I put Napa rebuilt on mine and I am pretty sure they were factory OEM remans. The ones I had on mine were factory OEM and the Napa ones were the exact same thing. I would take a head of an argument to convince me that the Napa one's aren't factory OEM pieces.
